We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and presentation of dishes.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Participate in menu planning and suggest new dishes based on seasonal ingredients or customer preferences.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
A genuine passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is essential.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
