Kitchen Manager - Portsmouth - Bar + Block Dockyard

Salary:

38,000 - 41,000 + up to 25% bonus

We're looking for a passionate and driven Kitchen Manager to lead the back-of-house team at Bar + Block Portsmouth Dockyard -- a vibrant steakhouse restaurant in one of the South Coast's most iconic waterfront destinations.

Reporting to the General Manager

You'll work closely with a General Manager and fully equipped to support your success. Together, you'll lead a high-performing team and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What you'll be doing:

As Kitchen Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of the kitchen -- leading a talented team, driving performance, and delivering exceptional food experiences.

You'll:

Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of kitchen team members Lead with energy and clarity, motivating your team through daily briefs Manage stock, food margins, and kitchen audits to high standards Deliver dishes to spec and brand standards Drive performance through coaching and regular one-to-ones Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
