Our rugby club runs every weekend throughout the season and hosts events in our main function room year-round.
This position is ideal for someone seeking a flexible, rewarding part-time role.
Typical Hours:
Saturday: 8 hours
Sunday: 8 hours (depending on home fixtures)
Additional hours may be available depending on club events and kitchen demand.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook delicious, high-quality dishes within budget
Lead and support the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient service
Contribute to menu creation, daily specials, and food presentation ideas
Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times
Manage stock, minimise waste, and optimise preparation efficiency
Oversee kitchen cleanliness and equipment maintenance
Order and manage ingredients using a "just-in-time" approach
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Level 2 and Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate
Proven experience in cooking, food prep, and kitchen service
Knowledge of food allergies and appropriate handling measures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, hardworking, and passionate about great food
Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing needs
Previous kitchen management experience preferred
