Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining high-quality food production. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff supervision, and fostering a positive kitchen environment.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage the entire kitchen team, including sous chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality. Develop innovative menus that align with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences. Supervise food production, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently. Train and mentor staff to maintain high standards of culinary excellence and service. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all kitchen activities. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service delivery and optimise customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment. Extensive food production and cooking expertise across diverse cuisines. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent food preparation skills coupled with a passion for culinary innovation. In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and hygiene regulations. Previous restaurant experience demonstrating leadership in a fast-paced setting. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Good understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence. Ability to serve as a role model for professionalism, dedication, and culinary craftsmanship.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-13.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
