We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a commitment to food safety and quality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, specifcation meal cooking, defrost and stock management and team management while fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
Drive sales and amazing presentation of dishes
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team performance.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency in dishes served.
Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to optimise kitchen operations.
Skills
Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant setting, with a strong understanding of culinary techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations, ensuring compliance within the kitchen.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership qualities with experience in team management and staff training.
Ability to work collaboratively within a hospitality-focused environment, promoting teamwork and communication.
A passion for cooking and an eagerness to help others develop their culinary skills.
