Oh My Dog! is looking for a Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to be part of a new exiting residency at a busy pub in the heart of Hackney Wick. We are looking for someone to join us with immediate start, someone who will be a part of the next steps of our journey with a new exciting extended menu. Previous experience of being able to produce high quality Sunday roasts is a must.
Ultimately we are looking for a hard working individual, with a passion for food, and who thrive working in a fast paced environment.
This high profile role will see the successful candidate working closely with out Developing Chef/Operations manager as well as the rest of the senior management team.
It's a broad and varied role - You will be responsible for running service, managing team members, training, ensuring processes are followed, stock management, ordering, scheduling and making sure we nail those lunch and dinner rushes.
You'll impact and learn many aspects of the business, from site operations and compliance to bossing it in the kitchen with a no-compromise approach to standards.
Whether it's developing the team or running a busy service in the kitchen you'll be a key member of the management team, playing a pivotal role in the bigger picture and helping to deliver to our vision.
About You
Experience of managing teams, ideally in a fast-casual dining concept
Able to work as part of the team to provide an amazing experience to all our customers and understanding the key role you play in providing an excellent guest experience
Present exceptional food showing a great eye to detail
Experience of producing high quality and high volume Sunday roasts
Consistently working to ensure our guests and team are safe
Great communication skills
Reliable and able to demonstrate a level of flexibility to meet the requirements of the team
Experience in delivering the company steps of service to the highest standard
Experience in developing and nurturing a positive team culture
Enthusiastic, fun, positive attitude with fresh and exciting ideas
Passionate about food and a genuine interest in trends & innovation
Manage food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
Maintain health and hygiene regulations
Level 2 Food & Hygiene minimum
The nice stuff:
18- 20/hr based on experience
Approx 45 hours per week on average
