We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations and lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, exceptional culinary skills, and the ability to manage and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
Kitchen Manager required for a busy kitchen with in a soft pay centre
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate individual to help us develop our kitchen.
Applicants must be hard working and flexible with full availability at the weekend.
You will need to have a logical approach to things and not be afraid of hard work. We want a great team, where everyone contributes.
You will sometimes be required to work by yourself in the kitchen
Execution -
Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes, monitoring wastage and portion control
Employee Management -
train, and supervise all colleagues, including front of house. Provide continual guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to the team.
Inventory and Cost Control -
monitor and manage stock levels, sensible approach to ordering supplies
Customer Relations -
Interact with customers to understand their specific needs and maintain an open channel of communication to address any concerns or requirements. Consistently seeking feedback is key to success
Health and Safety Compliance -
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and food safety protocols/policies. Create an environment that has safety embedded in the culture
Menu Development and Innovation -
stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into menus and specials
Compliance and Documentation -
maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and food preparation processes and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
A Kitchen Manager is responsible for ensuring good food and health standards, kitchen cleanliness, all aspects of food preparation, Cooking with fryers, hot plate, and other kitchen equipment and maintaining kitchen organisation. Here is a list of duties.
Measuring out meal ingredients according to a recipe
Prepping various ingredients such as meats and vegetables
Collaborating with Cooks to prepare meals
Serving food to their customers and employers
Cleaning up the kitchen space after cooking each meal and ensuring the prep area and kitchen is cleaned and sanitised at the end of the shift
Maintaining a pantry stock record
Rotating stock items as per established procedures
Restocking the pantry and fridge or freezer as necessary
Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures
Ordering new ingredients as required
Washing dishes when needed
Waste removal
Equipment Maintenance
Ensuring a safe environment
Candidates Must be:
