Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team as the team behind Thundercat Pub Diner open the next adventure bringing Thunderdog Pub & Diner to Glasgow's West End. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of American food, health and safety, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As the Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role team management, and ensuring the overall success of our kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene within the kitchen. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure consistent quality in food production. Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements where necessary to enhance efficiency and quality. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Assist in budgeting and cost control measures related to food production.

Experience

Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager/Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse kitchen team. Experience in menu planning and execution with an emphasis on creativity and presentation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure. A passion for cooking and an eagerness to help develop junior chefs within the team.

Pay: 34,600.00-38,200.00 per year
