We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in catering and restaurant operations, with a focus on food safety and culinary excellence. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu development, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and cater to diverse dietary needs. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Oversee food preparation and meal preparation processes to guarantee quality and consistency. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients while managing inventory effectively. Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. Monitor kitchen performance, adjusting processes as necessary to enhance efficiency and quality. Assist in catering events as required, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations. Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes. Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive working environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, suppliers, and management effectively. A relevant culinary qualification or equivalent experience is preferred.
