Job Summary


We are seeking a talented Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and experience in food production and preparation. As the Kitchen Manager/Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality while fostering a positive and productive work environment. We are not necessarily looking for someone who has been a head chef or kitchen manager before, so this could be your ideal first senior leadership role and we will develop you!

Duties



Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards. Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Conduct regular training sessions for kitchen staff on culinary techniques, food safety, and hospitality practices. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate supplies. Create a positive team environment that encourages creativity and collaboration among kitchen staff. Responsibility over rotas, hiring and training the team with the assistance of the GM.

Experience



Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Previous experience in menu development and cost control is advantageous.
