Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring effective team management and collaboration. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee the quality and safety of all dishes served. Develop innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen. Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and enhance the overall dining experience. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment. In-depth knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in menu development and cost control is advantageous. A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service is essential.
