Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment. Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary ingredients and tools are readily available. Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items using appropriate cleaning methods. Help with the organisation and storage of food supplies in accordance with health and safety regulations. Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling practices are followed. Assist with basic cooking tasks as required under the supervision of experienced chefs. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment. A keen interest in culinary arts and hospitality is highly desirable. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
