We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the culinary staff. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment while contributing to exceptional hospitality.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as needed. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in serving food during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to guests.

Experience

Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is advantageous. Culinary experience or formal training in food preparation and cooking is a plus. A strong understanding of hospitality principles and excellent teamwork skills are essential.
