Job Description

We're looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team at our brand-new community pub. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a venue that aims to become a central hub for the local community. As Kitchen Porter, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen, helping to support the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:



Kitchen Support:



Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times. Wash and organise crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

Stock & Equipment Management:



Unload and store deliveries correctly. Maintain stock of cleaning products and kitchen supplies. Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly. Report any faulty equipment to the Head Chef or Sous Chef.

Health & Safety Compliance:



Follow all food hygiene and health & safety regulations. Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Help with regular deep cleaning tasks.

Team Support:



Work closely with the chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times. Be willing to learn and develop on the job.

Qualifications & Experience:



Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude and willingness to work hard. Ability to work well as part of a team. Basic understanding of health & safety regulations. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods as required.
