We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation areas are well-organised and hygienic. This position is essential for supporting chefs and kitchen staff in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Ensure that all dishes and cooking equipment are cleaned promptly and effectively. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Help with the organisation of stock and supplies, ensuring everything is stored correctly. Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times. Assist in receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking processes. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A keen eye for detail, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met consistently. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a busy kitchen setting. Experience in hospitality or culinary roles would be advantageous but not essential. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently under pressure.
