Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter / Washer Up to join our team in a busy hotel kitchen. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and work areas
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks as needed
- Dispose of waste following established procedures
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and inform the supervisor of shortages
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team player mentality
