Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as required. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. Help with stock rotation and inventory management by keeping track of supplies. Assist in maintaining the overall hygiene standards of the kitchen area.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential. Basic food preparation skills and an understanding of cooking techniques are advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within the hospitality sector. Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills further within the industry. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks during service hours.
