We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and kitchen operations. Prior restaurant or hotel experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
Washing, sanitising, and storing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure a hygienic workspace
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Supporting the kitchen team with cleaning duties, including floors, surfaces, and storage areas
Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed
Restocking supplies and organising storage areas to maintain efficiency
Assisting with serving food and beverages when required during busy periods
Adhering to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is desirable but not mandatory
Knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is beneficial
Familiarity with kitchen safety standards and hygiene practices preferred
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary operations and hospitality standards

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
