The Ebrington Hotel is now seeking to recruit a Kitchen Porter for their premises, Ebrington Square, Derry-Londonderry:

Kitchen Porter - Job Details

Contract: Casual Permanent

Start date: TBC

Salary: Competitive

Hours of work: casual hours

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and utensils Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils Assist in the preparation and delivery of food as needed Receive and store food deliveries, rotate stock, and maintain proper storage conditions Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping and peeling vegetables or preparing sauces Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean and tidy at all times Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols and procedures Assist with the general cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas Perform other duties as assigned by the management team

Essential Criteria

Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a similar role is preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn new skills and techniques.

Background in a busy hotel environment
