We're looking for a reliable and hardworking kitchen porter to join our busy restaurant team. As a key part of the kitchen operation, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment to support the chefs and kitchen staff. This is a great entry-level role for someone looking to get started in the hospitality industry.
Main Duties:
Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned to a high standard.
Operate commercial dishwashers and hand-wash items when required.
Keep floors and surfaces clean, dry, and safe throughout service.
Assist with basic food prep, such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients.
Handle waste management, including emptying bins and disposing of rubbish properly.
Help with deliveries: unpack, store, and rotate stock following food safety guidelines.
Keep cleaning supplies stocked and report any shortages or equipment issues.
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
Support the kitchen team during busy shifts, working quickly and efficiently.
What We're Looking For:

Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety (training will be provided).
Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks and long hours on your feet.
