Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and cooks, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation. Support chefs during busy service periods by fetching ingredients or assisting with basic cooking tasks. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Basic understanding of food hygiene principles is preferred; training will be provided. A passion for culinary arts and hospitality is highly desirable.
