We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and meets the high standards expected in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment promptly. Support chefs and kitchen staff by bussing tables and clearing away used dishes during service. Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment. Help with catering events by preparing food items according to specifications. Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas regularly to uphold hygiene standards. Assist in inventory management by organizing supplies and reporting shortages to management.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is beneficial. Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail to ensure a tidy workspace. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration within the kitchen staff.
