Kitchen Porter
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Porter to join our team at Hickstead Hotel. The ideal candidate will assist in the smooth running of the kitchen, supporting the culinary team in food preparation and maintaining cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and service areas, including equipment, utensils, floors, storage, and refrigerators, as per company standards.
Collect cleaning materials as required and dispose of rubbish in designated areas.
Follow hygiene and dress standards at all times.
Use cleaning checklists and chemicals correctly to ensure quality and minimize waste.
Report maintenance issues immediately following the proper procedure.
Work professionally with the food service team and support cost and energy-saving initiatives.
Follow all company policies on food safety, health & safety, and COSHH regulations.
Attend all required training in food safety, fire safety, and health & safety.
Be familiar with hotel facilities, local area information, and guest assistance procedures.
Participate in inductions, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
Job Types: Full-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: 12.21 per hour
