Kitchen Porter
Job Description
We are seeking 3 dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porters to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service.
Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking and service.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly.
Support chefs during busy service periods by helping with basic cooking tasks as required.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
Assist in receiving deliveries and properly storing food items in accordance with health regulations.
Help maintain stock levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management.
Participate in regular cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning of kitchen areas as needed.
Shifts: 07.00am-12.00pm, 09.00am-14.00pm, 14.15pm-19.15pm
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel or similar environment is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is beneficial. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential. A positive attitude, and ability to work as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
