Rooted in ancient farmland in the foothills of Dartmoor, Fowlescombe Farm is a sophisticated agritourismo style escape nestled in a hidden valley. Opening in Spring 2025, our 10 spacious suites enjoy expansive views, generous living spaces and most have private outside spaces. Each has a very distinct character, but all feature the highest standards of contemporary design, combined with the warmth and comforts of home.

Guests are welcomed as family into the life of our working rare breed farm, enjoying intuitive, human service and an authentic farm to table dining experience.

Fowlescombe invites guests to live with the seasons and to experience our unique position just 9 miles from the sea. We work with many local friends to create bespoke adventures for our guests

We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team.

The Kitchen Porter role entails:



Maintain cleanliness standard for front and back of house kitchen and storage areas

Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitised

Sweep and mop the floors at the beginning and end of shifts

Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations

Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation

Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries

Keep the food and supply storage areas organised

Take out the rubbish and recycling

Help with routine food preparation when needed

Follow all Haccp guidelines stipulated in our SSOW/SOP to ensure safe food preparation and service.

Follow opening and closing checklist for all kitchen stations.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the head chef or manager-on-duty.
