Title: Kitchen Porter



Location: Skipton Building Society



Salary: 12.60 per hour working Monday to Friday



Hours: 30 hours per week, 8.30am-3.00pm, Monday to Friday

The role of kitchen porter means you are a key part of the kitchen team, predominantly working in the pot wash, putting away deliveries, maintaining food storage areas and ensuring a clean and hygienic environment at all times. There may be times when you will be required to undertake other duties such as supporting the chefs with basic food preparation or serving customers.

Customer Service -

provide excellent service by being attentive to guests' needs at every point on their customer journey and answering questions in a friendly manner

Teamwork -

collaborate with all other staff to ensure the smooth flow of operations and support and contribute to creating an inclusive and safe working environment

Adherence to Regulations -

comply with health and safety regulations, as well as any specific food service or catering guidelines established on location

Cleanliness -

maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas


Qualifications



Previous experience in a similar role is often a plus You are a team player who can communicate well with a positive, can do attitude Ability to remain calm and collected in a busy environment Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects Knowledge of manual handling and COSHH
