Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Support chefs and kitchen staff during service by providing necessary assistance. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in the overall upkeep of the kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills are advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a busy setting. Excellent teamwork skills, contributing to a harmonious working atmosphere. Understanding of health and safety standards within the hospitality industry is beneficial.
