Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team at Borrowdale Gates Hotel in Grange-Keswick. This vital role supports our culinary operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen, ensuring smooth daily service and upholding our high standards of hospitality.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces to ensure hygiene standards are met. Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs. Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure proper storage of ingredients. Help with loading and unloading supplies as needed. Follow health and safety regulations at all times. Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards. Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn. Knowledge of food safety regulations is an advantage. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Enthusiasm for working in the hospitality industry.
