The Fox & Hounds is a country pub at the heart of the community in Llancarfan, The Vale of Glamorgan. Leading the way in pub hospitality we provide refined unpretentious service, generous hospitality and fun place to work. Our kitchen serves, tasty pub classics and British dishes using the best ingredients we can find.
We have a cosy woodfired bar, two dining areas and a huge riverside beer garden. The pub is under new ownership and we're going through the stages to renovate our 15th century pub, starting with the 8 ensuite bedrooms.
The Job role
We're looking for an experienced kitchen porter to join our team who can display the following skills and qualities:
Organising store cupboards
Washing all dishes, utensils, and equipment thoroughly
Cleaning all surfaces
Emptying bins
Helping with kitchen food preparation
Help keep the kitchen in line with food safety standards
Ensure the kitchen and porter area are left clean at e end of service
The ideal candidate for the Kitchen Porter position should:
Have excellent attention to detail
Be a real team player
Be organised and work well under pressure
Have a friendly and flexible attitude
Communicate effectively in English
