Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary utensils and ingredients are readily available. Help with the storage of food items and ensure proper stock rotation to maintain freshness. Adhere to health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. A passion for cooking and food preparation is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is an advantage but not mandatory.
