Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as required. Ensure all dishes, pots, and pans are cleaned promptly and stored correctly. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Assist in receiving deliveries and organising supplies in the kitchen storage areas.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is highly desirable. Basic cooking skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards hospitality and service. A keen interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn from experienced chefs. Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
