Duties
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
Ensure all kitchen areas are well-organised and stocked with necessary supplies.
Support the cooking team during service by helping with plating and serving as needed.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
Assist in the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with company policies.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous.
A passion for hospitality and a willingness to learn about culinary practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
