Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Support chefs during service by ensuring all necessary equipment and ingredients are readily available.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper stock rotation and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
Assist with basic cooking tasks as required under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, including restaurant or hotel experience.
A passion for food preparation and cooking is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality.
Knowledge of health and safety practices within a kitchen setting is advantageous.
