We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and organisation, assisting with food preparation, and contributing to a positive dining experience. Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Support the cooking team during peak service times by providing timely assistance.
Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills would be advantageous.
Experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus.
A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for success in this role.
