Job Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting the chef to ensure smooth daily operations. This job will mainly be evenings 6pm-10pm shifts.. but not exclusively

At Archive bar were a fun Pizza kitchen making everything from scratch, you will learn how to make pizzas as well as assist the chef in preparation..

Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior kitchen staff. Support the organisation of stock and ingredients, ensuring storage areas are tidy and items are correctly labelled. Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other kitchen areas throughout shifts. Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Support the team during busy service times by ensuring all necessary items are prepared and available. Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential. Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking and food service. Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills. A proactive attitude towards maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role provides valuable experience in the hospitality industry, fostering skills that can serve as a foundation for future career advancement within culinary or hotel management sectors.
