Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation areas are clean, organised, and compliant with food safety standards. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry while contributing to a dynamic team environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food production. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment and utensils. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times. Support chefs and cooks in various tasks as required, including supervising junior kitchen staff. Help with the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to maintain a hygienic environment. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts within the kitchen. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to team management. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Willingness to help others and take on various tasks as needed. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Wage dependent on age and experience and will be discussed at interview
