The Role:
This role is vital in ensuring that food preparation areas are hygienic and well-stocked, enabling our chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for cleanliness, a positive attitude, and an interest in hospitality and culinary operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a busy cafe.
Responsibilities
Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
Restocking supplies and organising storage areas to facilitate smooth kitchen operations
Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods by helping with serving and clearing tables when required
Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations at all times
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently and responsibly
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays as required
A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary operations and hospitality standards
