The Quorn Grange Hotel is a 3 star country hotel set in 8 acres of delightful grounds. Post Covid we have been undergoing a rebuilding and recruitment process to enable us to offer the standards of food and service befitting such an establishment. Our aim is to become the premier destination for travellers, weddings, events and conferences within the area.

We currently have two vacancies for Kitchen Porters on16 hours a week contracts, straight shifts. Applicants must be hard working, reliable & flexible.

Ability to work on own initiative Understanding of COSHH You'll help with deliveries, clean equipment and areas and support the catering team in the day to day operation. Adhere to weekly cleaning rota, due diligence, health & safety

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Required

- Ability to communicate in spoken English. Efficient and organised. Smart , clean appearance. Friendly, pleasant personality. Reliable, respectful with a happy to help attitude.

Desirable

- Food Hygiene Certificate. Ability to work on own initiative. Ability to plan ahead. Understanding of COSHH. Keen to continue self development within current role and ambition for further promotion and/or growth.

Your tasks will include keeping the kitchen area clean & tidy and occasionally assisting the chefs in basic vegetable preparation. A weekly kitchen cleaning jobs rota must also be completed and you will be working to a high hygiene standard and will be expected to adhere to those standards.

Experience in a similar role would be an advantage but if you can meet the above criteria, not essential. Benefits include meals on duty and company pension.
