Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join kitchen team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by supporting chefs and kitchen staff in various tasks. Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Support chefs during service by ensuring that all necessary utensils and ingredients are readily available. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and adherence to health and safety standards. Clean kitchen equipment and utensils as required, maintaining high hygiene standards. Assist with basic cooking tasks under the supervision of experienced chefs when needed. Participate in stocktaking and inventory management as directed by senior kitchen staff.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. A background in hospitality or restaurant settings will be advantageous. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. A positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within a busy kitchen setting is essential. Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
