We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team at Shwen Shwen. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment, ensuring that all food preparation areas are well-organised and hygienic. Duties
Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and work surfaces
Clean and organise food preparation and storage areas
Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and hygienically
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and the baking team
Support the kitchen team during service by assisting with plating and serving when needed
Receive and store deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and quality checks are carried out
Adhere to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times
Follow instructions from the Head Chef and management team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn from experienced chefs
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality
