Shropshire Golf Centre is seeking a reliable and hardworking

Kitchen Porter

to join our busy kitchen team. You will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in our kitchen, supporting our chefs in delivering excellent service to members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including food prep areas, equipment, utensils, and crockery Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and ensure all cleaning duties are carried out to a high standard Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required (e.g. peeling, chopping) Ensure waste is correctly segregated and disposed of following health & safety standards Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and storage areas regularly Ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with clean equipment and report shortages to the Head Chef Follow all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards (e.g. COSHH, HACCP) Support the team during events, functions, and peak service times Carry out deep cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis

Requirements:

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent team player with a proactive and positive attitude Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks Understanding of basic food hygiene and safety (training can be provided) Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days
