We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen environment is clean, organised, and efficient. Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure that all kitchen surfaces are kept clean and sanitised throughout the day. Support chefs during service by fetching ingredients and assisting with basic cooking tasks as required. Help with stock management by receiving deliveries and storing items appropriately. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential. Basic culinary skills or a keen interest in cooking and food preparation. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. A positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within a hospitality setting. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff. A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
