Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This position is essential for providing exceptional service in our restaurant and catering operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment Perform bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are tidy Support banquet operations by setting up and breaking down event spaces as needed Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods Participate in cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work surfaces Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and reporting shortages

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred Familiarity with food service operations, including catering and banquet experience is a plus Knowledge of culinary techniques and food handling best practices is beneficial Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail in maintaining a hygienic workspace Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating hospitality and teamwork

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week

Work Location: In person
