We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and restaurant staff in delivering excellent service. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn about food preparation and kitchen operations within a busy hospitality setting.
Duties
Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Supporting the cleaning of kitchen appliances, work surfaces, and storage areas
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
Restocking supplies and organising storage areas for efficiency
Maintaining a tidy work environment throughout shifts
Supporting the team during service periods to ensure smooth operations
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or culinary activities is a plus
Experience working in a busy kitchen or serving environment is desirable
Knowledge of health and safety standards within food service settings is beneficial
