Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as needed. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times. Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in restaurants or hotels. Basic food preparation skills; culinary experience is advantageous. Strong understanding of hygiene practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards hospitality. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
