We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the culinary staff. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment and develop their culinary skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Support chefs during service by ensuring all necessary ingredients and equipment are readily available. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation to maintain freshness. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices. Assist in maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential. A passion for food and hospitality, with a willingness to learn and develop culinary skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. Experience in hotel or culinary settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
