We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our Indian Kitchen dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in restaurants or hotels, and those with an interest in culinary arts.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking. Keep the kitchen area tidy and organised, including sweeping and mopping floors. Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by helping with various tasks as needed. Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to help others within the team. A passion for hospitality and an eagerness to learn about culinary practices.
