The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment, supporting our chefs and culinary staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties

Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are properly stored after use. Support the kitchen team by transporting food items and supplies as needed. Dispose of waste appropriately and assist in maintaining recycling practices within the kitchen. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of culinary practices is preferred, with a willingness to learn more about food preparation techniques. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A proactive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen team, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Good communication skills to effectively interact with chefs and other kitchen staff.

Pay: 11.44-13.00 per hour
