The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and supporting the culinary staff. Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing timely assistance. Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Help with inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and reporting shortages. Participate in regular cleaning schedules to ensure hygiene standards are met.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills. Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively under pressure. A keen interest in hospitality and culinary arts, demonstrating a willingness to learn.
