We are seeking a fully flexible dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter/Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support kitchen operations by assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed. Perform food preparation tasks including washing, peeling, and portioning food items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Support chefs and cooks in executing menu items efficiently and accurately. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products. Assist with catering events as required, ensuring timely service and presentation of meals. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff. A passion for the culinary arts and eagerness to learn more about meal preparation and cooking techniques. Experience in catering or serving is a plus but not required. Pay: 12.21 per hour
